What is a Drag consultant?

Glad you asked. It is a 'subject matter expert' in the artform of Drag, someone who can work as an advisor for the Costume / Makeup teams and the talent, assisting in achieving the desired outcome of Drag Queen characters for screen.

Roberto has worked in Costume teams for screen and understands the how busy it gets. Some productions call for the use of Drag Queen characters, and sometimes shows hire actuals who can bring their knowledge and DIY...
but sometimes productions use actors who may not be all too familiar with the whole garb. This could mean the ins-and-outs and the layers that go into polished Drag mightn't be known. 

A consultant can advise Costume and Makeup teams and help them to get on with the job as quickly as possible - stacked wigs, stacked lashes, blocked brows, spirit gum, hip pads, bust pads, heels, stocking layers, tucking panties, corsets and taping down your back rolls.... it's all in a days work.

If you have questions, a consultant can link the process between the unknown and the fabulous.

A Drag consultant also gives peace-of-mind, making sure the talent is receiving the support they need to look and feel their best on screen on the day and can liaise with the AD. The services of a Drag consultant on set provides assistance to the talent, making sure they are as comfortable as possible and helping them with their tasks that the layers of Drag make difficult - kind of like a Drag standby assist - and it's the same process as bringing on an additional.
